I cant poll my fidonet hub without turning off Malwarebytes.

    Any ideas for Windows 10/11?

I run Malwarebytes as well. I don't have this issue so I looked for ways to "allow" the hubs IP address. Look under Settings/Scan and detection/Allow list. Put the IP address in the list and give that a try.

Yes. I'd recommend dumping either/both of them, and using Linux.

Then playing Final Fantasy 14 would suck. I would have to play it on a PS5 OR mac.

There are guides out there for playing Final Fantasy XIV on Linux, which suggests to me it works on Linux :-)

    Don't use Malwarebytes, I guess.

Defender AV and firewall in Windows 10/11 is perfectly cromulent to guard your system against all but the sketchiest of sketchy Limewire downloads and sophisticated skript kiddies!
