  • MajorBBS for dummies?

    I've always had a thing for MajorBBS back in the day. Used to spend hours on the chatrooms on those systems. The other day I downloaded a MajorBBS install from Project Phoenix and stood it up on a seperate port (davesbbs.com:8023) to play around with it. Unfortunately, never having had a chance to run a MajorBBS system back in the day I have no idea how to customize it and such. Anyone have any good tutorials or documentation on how to set everything up? I've got the system running but its pretty much an out of the box setup.

    I don't have any support per se, but I do have a TON of MajorBBS software, docs and add-ons @ 2oFB. Its in the 'Paulie's 90GB BBS/DOS Software Collection' File Conference...

    IIRC, there were many .PDFs and .DOC files in there that might be helpful..

    Another thing - theres mbbsemu; a new project that can run MBBS add-ons w/o using MajorBBS software;

    I never did get that running properly.
