Essentially, it boils down to the fact that Trump "accidentally" became the leader of the Republicans, and it actually suited the billionaires. He's one of them. He does have a mind of his own, and that's a problem, but it did distract from the successful coup.
In that sense, Trump has proven to be a useful idiot for the very richest in the US.
As soon as Trump can be removed, the billionaires' men will take over. They have no support base and therefore no leverage to pursue their own policies or assert their own will. JD Vance and Scott Bessent are easily exchanged for more compliant ones if they start to gain traction.
The judges aren't a problem; they were bought more than twenty years ago. Most senators, too, for that matter. In many cases, from both parties.
