  • The Shutdown

    JD Vance was on Fox & Friends this morning talking about the shutdown. He pointed a few things out that I didn't realize:

    * Senate Democrats did this under the guise of "healthcare coverage for illegals is on the table."

    * Healthcare coverage for illegals is not on the table and there are still several months ahead for lawmakers to do something about it if they "care so much."

    * The TSA and the military are not being paid during this shutdown.

    Here's what I make of it:

    TSA workers are already irritable and bitchy and now we're pouring salt on them.

    We rely on the military to keep us safe, but now we're demanding that they do it while deployed far awy from home and while their families are without money.

    Great job Democrats.

    I think this will be short lived...

    Trump needs to take this time to cleanup the staffing and get rid of some of the stupid spending and do some of the things he's eluded to...

    Luckily most of the people in the military are patriotic and will weather this.
