  • Spaceballs 2 - The Search For More Money

    Just saw the trailer today for Spaceballs 2. A 98 year old Mel Brooks was wearing Spaceballs The Sweatshirt. Although John Candy is sadly passed (I still watch Summer Rental every year), I'm surprised Rick Moranis will appear as he left acting many years ago.

    I'm skeptical of most new content as I find it too algorithmic, but what do you think? If this is Mel's last hurrah, maybe it'll be good?

    Do you think there will be any references to Spaceballs: The BBS?

    Unless the critics completely pan it or I am no longer roaming the earth when it comes out, I will go see it. I really enjoyed the first Spaceballs, it will be interesting to see how they fill the void left by BARFs passing.

    Spaceballs the BBS.. Now that in itself is funny.

    Funny you mention those two. Yesterday, I watched Little Shop of Horrors, in which Moranis stars and is one of my favorite musicals. I'd forgotten that Candy had a guest appearance as a radio DJ.

    Not sure I understand what you are saying... I loved the original, I do not outright hate most sequaels. I was just saying.. If the critics pan it, I won't waste my time. Even though Brookes has written some hits, he has also written some prety forgettable movies as well, such as Robinhood: Men In Tights.
