Clrhouz is quite the project of note.

Howdy,
So I'm not happy, and I'm moving clrghouz back to my server at home. It's running on a CM5 now, and while it is slow, it is running better than on the SSDnode host. :(
As an upside, its given me some areas to look at to improve the query performance, so I'll be focusing on that over the next few days to improve it's performance. Bear with me, but hopefully mail will be flowing uninterrupted soon. :)
So clrghouz (Hub 3), should be humming along now - and on a Raspberry PI CM5 in a proxmox VM. These little devices are awesome - clrghouz has 1.2m messages, supplying mail to 80+ nodes and receiving and making 1000's of connections a day, and CPU is averaging around <10%!
It doesnt have an "outbound" directory, outbound mail is assembled on the fly during a session, finding from the 1.2m messages what you havent received yet and building the mail packet. For files, the file comes out of an S3 bucket, and the TIC file is assembled on the fly as well. I think it was these processes that the SSDnode couldnt handle, and the previous server was hiding the optimisation that was neeeded.
The backlog of mail and files has been sent to all nodes - so if you are still seeing any problems, please reach out *with specifics* - finding specific session details to a node is bit of effort, given there are 1000s received and made each day.
I'm working on importing much of the fidonet filegate now - so if there are files that you want to get from there, you'll be able to hook up to clrghouz with your fidonet address to get them (if you havent got them already).
