I took it to our church's dessert auction for
several years, often selling to one man in the $50. range. He was outbid
at the last minute one year by someone else; we all had a good laugh
over that. I'll have to hunt up the recipe and post it here.

Fun story! I vote for using hyperbole in the recipe title.

Ruth's Million Dollar Pound Cake Recipe

Maybe half a million, but this jogged my memory to look for it. I don't
know if Steve ever put the recipe into MM; that would be too easy a
search but he has done it before. It calls for lemon Greek yogurt plus I
add some grated lemon peel and then when I glaze it, I mix powdered
sugar with lemon juice and more lemon peel. We don't do the dessert
auction any more but do have good memories of it.
