True. I use Vonage for VoIP and I do have the ability to add a secondI use voip.ms - $0.85/month + $0.0090 per minute. Can't be any cheaper.

what kind of ATA do you have?I tried both OBI300 and Cisco SPA122, Cisco works much better.
i managed to get really nice speeds with my dlink&linksys atas.
- minimize the Packet Length (eg. 10ms instead of 20ms)I missed that part! Just changed RTP Packet Size from 30 to 10 and now speeds are much better!
- limit to g.711u/a codec onlyIn Addition:
- set all echo cancellation options to disabled
- disable all fax functions
