    Hey Kay!

Nothing to get excighted about ... yet ... only teesting the new bash release out before committing it to all things linux-gnu in this god forsaken part of this crazy (crazier?) part of the world.

Looks good so far. Definetly more confirmation that the original bash scripting for fidonet connectivity/communications is and was an excellent idea. Keeping it simple proves itself yet again.

Please consider this as an "in your face!!!" dealie to all the Debian/Android/MS crowd with their substandard python crap. :::evil grin:::

actualy sixteen penguines (all I count are 15 here though).

I knew I was skirting the edge with 16, especially when they get quoted back. So far all the terminals here have no issue with 16 as far as displaying the originals are concerned. I am betting the 4 below you shouldn't have problems with. Same with 8 or even 12. 16 is a tad too close to call but they are legitmate and just fit into an 80 character line. The bash script calls 'nproc' to determine the correct amount of penguins to display.

    thanks for enlightening me!

Does nproc also see problems with your processors? If so, why is one penguin (or three) facing the wrong direction?

Is one penguin being shunned? Or is the one penguin trying to ditch the other three? ;)

Does nproc also see problems with your processors?

No. It only prints the number of processors.

If so, why is one penguin (or three) facing the wrong direction?

That is because the penguin routine randomizes the direction for each penguin. Note that in this particular post there are 2 facing right and 2 facing left.

Or is the one penguin trying to ditch the other three? ;)

Maybe. I definetly have no insight into the goings on in ASCII penguins minds. The 4 below look like they are pairing off.

In the horizontal position the first line has all of the Heads and Bodies plus 2 pairs of feet.
Next line has 14pairs of feet and Text up to the word the.
Third line has the word Apocalypse.

While holding the phone Vertically I see 4 lines.

    Only the word Apocalypse.

I log on this Capitol City Online BBS by http using Firefox on a android phone.

Held vertically I can see 58 lines of text that is max 52 characters long.
Held horizontally I see 14 lines , 81 characters long

    The Screen is 5 3/4" by 2 5/8" .

When logged in and reading posts the window is 3 3/8" wide. The rest of the screen is blank (just like Ed's Head (C) TM).

I will have to do a looksee if there is a Text browser app offered for this android phone.

I miss using my desktop system program MultiMail DOS to Read and Write posts for the BBS.

After starting the cellphone service account i thought to search for a Bluetooth device for adding it to my wired router output cat-5 jack.
Once, I saw a device that had that feature but failed to bookmark that page.

I WOULD rather use MultiMail DOS on my desktop than pecking on the screen.
I just can't find that webpage when I search the browsers History.

Lynx would be the ideal, especially with the gopher protocol which is still being supported with the most recent version. As for the lack of javascript, who cares?

I WOULD rather use MultiMail DOS on my desktop than pecking on the
    screen.

I think it might be abandonware. However with a proper editor a MultiMail for Android would probably be the best idea. In the distant past I had MultiMail for linux working on a regular pc. However it lacks utf-16 support so it never really took off, which is the reason I wrote bash scripts to take care of my MSGing needs. Near as I can tell, this particular bashing is the ultimate fidonet messaging ever.
