The AX.25 service is probably at about 80% completion, though I haven't work on it in a month or so. I'll return to it within the next couple of months, imagine. After that I'll need to flesh out the "command shell" type thing t AX.25 clients will see; it'll need to support various mail forwarding protoc used by different packet BBS software like F6FBB or the simple PBBS stuff bu into many TNCs.
But yes, AX.25 support for Synchronet is coming ... someday.

I hope JNOS and TNOS will be included. I currently run JNOS and SBBS on the
same computer, including an AMPR.ORG "hamgate". Looking forward to testing this out here.

Definitely. I've used JNOS in the past and know that it's both a powerful a a popular system. TNOS I've looked at briefly but never went too far with, however my goal would be to support interaction with as many different syste as possible (TNOS, F6FBB, Kantronics PBBS, etc.)

"On the same computer" has been on my mind. It'll be possible for a Synchro system to exchange mail with another local packet BBS without going over the air.
I'll probably return to work on this within the next few weeks. Will let yo know once I make some more progress.
