    Hi Agoranet..

Just thought I'd say hello. I joined recently (I think I may have been on
here before a couple of years ago).

    So.. hello!

Does anyone here play MMOs? I haven't played in a little while but most recently was Elder Scrolls Online. I just resigned up for WoW, but really
not feeling it anymore... been playing that on and off for years and
    years.

Well, I have important matters to attend to.. (picks up beer)

    Bye

    Andrew

there are a few games worth playing but in all honesty building a gpu mining farm and trading crypto should be everyones main program right now. the
market is so good and will literally make you a millionaire in just a few
years if you play your cards right. the more you fuck around now, the less
fiat you'll have later on down the line. also, go all in on chainlink.

    regards~

I've heard BitCoin value dropped sharply recently. On January 17th, I heard it dropped 50% in one day. And I believe I've heard there might not be much value in starting up BitCoining mining now that it has been around for 10(?) years. I'm not sure I'm very confident in such things right now.

Couldn't one do both? Why not play games while your mining farm is
    computing your millions of dollars?

Hmm.. I doubt it. If everyone's making money, where is the money coming
from? I suspect people have made money from it, but only from others
trying to make money, so they need a constant influx of people trying to
make money in order to make money, and that can only sustain itself so
    long.

I think he's talking about 'alt-currencies' not bit coin. I was reading
the other day that people mine these alt-currencies and trade them for
    bit coin.

I don't know that much about it though but I'm skeptical. Not that it
matters, I couldn't afford to make a mining computer even if I wanted to
    hehe

Is that really good advice to be giving? I mean, yes, bitcoin has been going
up and up over the last few months, but it will never make you a millionaire. The time for that has already passed. Bitcoin is controlled by a few individuals and you'll never make more money than them. The gains people are making now just depend on there being a greater fool down the line.

Disclaimer: I own some bitcoin, but I have no illusions.

Same boat here. The other thing is I don't really believe in that stuff,
any "investing" I do is in physical gold or silver. None of it stored in
my home, but all of it stored elsewhere. None of it worth a pile right
now, but hey maybe one day precious metal will be needed / wanted again
and I'm set. Besides, I can always trade a hunk of gold for a side of
    beef.

I prefer this method. No matter what century you're living in or where inflation goes or how long you've kept it in a box, it will always pay for a meal.

Not so much. I play FPS games on the PC usually. CoD for awhile and since I didn't really get into the last two, I play a lot of Playerunknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG).

Otherwise to keep me occupied on the go, Lords Mobile is pretty fun. ;)

That assumes you can always find a buyer, since it is only worth what someone will pay for it. That goes for every asset, of course.

It sounds lame, but I am very much in favour of standard index investing. Equities have risk, but you generally get paid dividends (imagine, money just for owning something!). Gold is great, but it is pretty illiquid.

Also, there is a whole history of gold *not* being worth all that much. For large parts of history, only silver was worthwhile.

Cool, I used to play Quake a lot when it was new, but haven't really
played fpses since. Mainly because we finished school and didn't do the
LAN thing anymore. Tried CoD but didn't like it... I kept getting killed

Not much for LAN gaming these days since most of them are multiplayer anyways, which is like a yuuuuuuuuuge LAN party. ;)
